Transistor Modules
The Linear 200 transistor module determines the personality and current handling capability of your
controller. The functions of the handle's throttle sensitivity and brake adjustment knobs are controlled by
control chips in the transistor module, specifically tailored to the kind of racing you do.

Already own a Linear 200 controller? Transform your Linear 200 Pro 40 or Pro 40E into a full featured HO
and 1/32nd scale controller by purchasing a low-cost transistor module.  Upgrade the current handling
capability of your low-cost  Linear 200 PWM LP 1/24th scale controller to race the highest speed wing cars
and Eurosports. Take advantage of our PWM MOSFET module's convenient USB cable quick disconnect to
easily swap modules if you frequently go back and forth between 1/24th scale and HO or 1/32nd scale
racing or just change control chips (your choice).
Control Chips
Software programmable control chips determine the controller's brake style and throttle control.

The Linear 200 braking is controlled by software programmed brake control profile chips, socketed so that
users can try completely different brake profiles as they become available. The chips are highly integrated
microcontrollers, software programmable single-chip computers with analog-to-digital converters and on-
chip timers. They monitor the brake pot and trigger positions, converting the analog voltages to digital data
that can be acted upon by the brake profile program. The brake profile program calculates the length of the
brake pulse, then loads the timers to create the precision timed brake pulses.

This design approach provides significant benefits to Linear 200 owners. By plugging in a different brake
chip, you can dramatically change the braking behavior...for example changing the controller brake from
Brake N' Release™ brake control to
Extended Range PWM, adjusting the brake's strength much like in a
conventional electronic controller.

This capability has been extended in our new PWM MOSFET transistor modules to encompass software
control of both braking and throttle response. A single software programmable chip controls both throttle
and brake functionality, socketed for user replacement.  Swap control chips to tailor the controller's
functionality to your form of racing...for example, adding powered coast to your HO controller, changing
between linear response and SOFTouch throttle control or even converting your positive polarity controller
to dual polarity for operation on negative polarity tracks.
